Bar Caribbean club

Caribbean Club is a tiny, speakeasy-style rum bar tucked away in a narrow back lane in Barcelona's Raval district. Housed in a 12th-century building with a practically windowless frontage, it is easy to miss — and that's precisely the point. A brass porthole and a subtle sign on the door are the only clues to its hidden entrance.

Inside, the narrow, dimly lit space is a homage to Cuba. Dark wood-panelled walls are lined with glass display cases of antique cocktail shakers and Cuban souvenirs, while brass portholes, compasses, hurricane lamps, and old maps add to the nautical, old-world atmosphere. The bar runs along one wall, with only a few seats, so be prepared to stand. The back section boasts a serious rum collection.
