Rafael Peña Cerro
Rafael Peña Cerro is a Barcelona-based chef and co-owner of Gresca restaurant, which he has run alongside Mireia Navarro since 2006. Known for his refined yet unpretentious approach, he has been a key figure in the city's dining scene for nearly two decades.
In 2020, he expanded his portfolio by co-founding Bar Torpedo with Biel Gavaldà and Juan Luis Pérez, a gourmet sandwich bar that has become a late-night favourite. He has also worked as a consultant for Hotel Santo Mauro in Madrid since 2021. In 2025, he co-founded Provisions Gresca, a new venture with Mireia Navarro.
In recognition of his career, Rafael received the Catalonia National Gastronomy Award in 2023, cementing his reputation as one of the region's most respected culinary talents.
