Iker Erauzkin

Espacio UMA

A Basque-born chef who trained in Paris, Iker Erauzkin is deeply passionate about creative cuisine and ingredient-driven gastronomy. A strong advocate for tradition and the local environment, he believes these elements are the true foundation of contemporary cooking.

Naturally curious and innovative, he is a respected communicator and the creator of pioneering gastronomic concepts. With over 25 years of experience in the culinary industry, he has authored more than a dozen cookbooks and culinary publications.

He is the founder and owner of Espacio UMA in Barcelona, a restaurant that has been continuously recognized by the MICHELIN Guide since 2021 and is featured in some of the world's most prestigious national and international gastronomic guides.

A perfect day in Barcelona would start with breakfast at Granja Elena — or the eggs with llanqueta at El Quim de la Boqueria on a market day — followed by a traditional midday meal at Alkostat, coffee and a cream-filled puff pastry at Escribà, dinner at Enigma, and a final cocktail at Paradiso.
