Manu Núñez

Besta, Batea

Manu Núñez is a Galician-born chef who has made Barcelona his culinary home. After training at the Centro Superior de Hostelería de Santiago de Compostela, he honed his skills in emblematic kitchens such as El Amparo (Madrid) and Casa Solla (Pontevedra). His intrepid spirit took him to England, Germany, and Luxembourg, before he opened his first acclaimed project, Arume in Barcelona's Raval, which won the Tapa del Año in Catalonia (2015) and saw him compete on Top Chef Spain (2017).
Seeking renewal, Núñez moved to Sweden in 2018, where he worked at Michelin-starred restaurants Gastrologik, Ekstedt, and Nook, profoundly influencing his culinary vision. In 2021, he opened Besta in Barcelona, a gastronomic restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide and Repsol Sol. A year and a half later, he launched his second Barcelona restaurant, Batea.
