Jordi Vilà
Jordi Vilà has over 82,000 hours of cooking under his belt — and he hasn't stopped since he started at age 15. Born into a family with a deep culinary tradition, he developed a lifelong passion for food and flavors from an early age.
After training in some of Catalonia's leading kitchens, he opened his first restaurant in 1998 before co-founding Alkimia in Barcelona with his wife, Sònia Profitós, in 2002. Awarded a Michelin star in 2004, Alkimia has become one of Barcelona's most influential restaurants, reflecting Vilà's vision of contemporary Catalan cuisine rooted in tradition and exceptional produce.
His career has also been recognized with three Repsol Suns and the National Gastronomy Award from the Acadèmia de Gastronomia i Nutrició de Catalunya.
