Arnau Muñío
Arnau Muñío is a Catalan chef with over two decades of experience in some of Spain's most celebrated kitchens. After training at Joviat School of Hospitality in Manresa, he worked at Michelin-starred restaurants including La Dama (Barcelona) and La Alquería (Seville), the elBulli hotel restaurant led by Ferran Adrià. In 2004, he joined Comerç 24, rising to Head Chef in 2005 and maintaining its Michelin star for seven years until its closing in 2014.
He then collaborated with Albert Adrià on projects including Heart in Ibiza and creative work with the elBarri group. In 2018, he launched his own project, Direkte Boqueria, a private dining restaurant in Barcelona's iconic market. The restaurant earned a Repsol Sun, entered the Michelin Guide, and was named one of the best casual restaurants in Europe by OAD.
In 2025, he opened Direkte 2.0 in the heart of Barcelona's Eixample, receiving the T de Oro award from Forbes Spain and being recognized as Best Initiative in Restoration by La Vanguardia.
